ROADS & MARITIME SERVICES – WOONONA ANTI-GRAFFITI PROJECT 2018

The ROADS & MARITIME SERVICES Anti-graffiti mural painting project was completed during June and July 2018. I was employed to bring some Indigenous design and concepts into the project. I worked with another non-Indigenous Artist (Anthony Jones – URBAN ART AUSTRALIA) and we were both contracted to complete 7 panels (sound barriers) each. These panels measured just over 8metres X 3metres each.

Thanks to Laurie Gripton, Matt Perez and Tabatha Cann (RMS) for inviting me into this project and for their ongoing support from beginning to end.

Anti-graffiti mural with Warwick Keen_Black Ducks

Warwick Keen – WOK – Artist, teacher, designer has been commissioned to paint seven murals on the Northern Distributor near Woonona. He's working with the Roads and Maritime Services Office to complete the murals in the next three weeks. This is Mr Keen's favourite mural so far – Black Ducks.

Anti-graffiti murals at Woonona_Panel #4_Environment

When Warwick Keen – WOK – Artist put in a tender with Roads and Maritime Services he had no idea he'd be working so close to the Northern Distributor. Despite the noisy traffic he has actually enjoyed the past few weeks painting murals on some of the breakwalls as a part of an anti-graffiti strategy. This panel, which he intends to finish tomorrow, is Mr Keen's fourth in four weeks. He has three more panels to complete within the next three weeks. As much as he loves to work he also loves a chat so don't be shy in saying hello if you're walking past Warwick Keen painting.
